The location of our Norfolk cottage for rent and the surrounding areas

‘Hidden Gem’ as described in the Sunday Times. One of Britain’s best kept secret villages to live in. In the Middle Ages Worstead boasted Britain’s leading cloth and weaving industry of which it got its name. The Worstead Cloth originates from the Flemish weavers migration to England. But it was not until the reign of King Edward II that the woven cloth here came to be known here as Worstead Cloth.

The Worstead Cloth is still renowned and famous throughout the world originating from our little village. Our 14th Century church is a sight to be seen and we have regular visitors from far and wide. In the village we have lovely playing fields and playground along with our local Pub and restaurant. (Which offers take out service of a full menu plus fish and chips). Live music is also on offer throughout the year from Motown to Indie to Jazz nights!

We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodlands ideal for families and ramblers. Weavers way footpath originally a former railway line which stretches from Cromer to Great Yarmouth is just a stones throw away. The Disused railway station at Honing is just a ten minute drive from the Barn with free parking and a great spot to start your walking adventures!

The amazing North Norfolk coast is just a 20 minute drive away with abundance of wildlife and a bit more if you wish to visit the busier seaside towns.
